We are proud to announce that ALAMA Professional, our mass-market brand, has won the Conai 2023 award for packaging ecodesign in the circular economy. With the submitted project, ALAMA achieved one of the highest scores in the overall winners' ranking, and the best overall score in the "reuse" category.
The challenge was to improve an existing packaging-the 500-mL shampoo bottle,-in terms of sustainability, innovation, and ecodesign and introduce a new 1L eco refill format.
This has enabled a drastic reduction in the use of plastic in packaging production; the use of recycled plastic for the bottles; a 75% reduction in plastic consumption compared to buying two separate bottles with the introduction of the 1000ml eco-refill.
An outstanding achievement that confirms our commitment to product innovation and packaging sustainability.
