In 2026, the Group reaffirms its commitment by renewing its support for research through the funding of a research fellowship awarded to Dr. Veronica Cocetta, a researcher at the University of Padua.
The research project continues to deliver significant progress in understanding the mechanisms underlying the resistance of certain ovarian cancers to cisplatin-based chemotherapy. In particular, the study has highlighted the role of the biological clock and lipid metabolism in reducing cancer cells’ sensitivity to treatment.
These findings open new opportunities for the development of more effective and better-tolerated therapeutic approaches, with the aim of overcoming drug resistance, reducing side effects, and improving patients’ quality of life. A tangible contribution towards increasingly targeted and personalised treatments for ovarian cancer.
