Pettenon Cosmetics S.p.A. Benefit Corporation, one of Italy’s leading groups in professional haircare and skincare and a Benefit Corporation since 2021, has published its fifth Sustainability Report, the first to cover the Group’s entire operational scope, including all three production sites.

The report marks an important milestone in the company’s responsible growth journey. For the first time, reporting has been developed through a double materiality assessment, enabling the integrated evaluation of both the impacts generated on society and the environment and the risks and opportunities that ESG topics represent for the business. The results of this assessment form the foundation of the Group’s 2026–2028 ESG Plan.

Ahead of the year in which it celebrates its 80th anniversary, Pettenon Cosmetics closed 2025 with consolidated revenues of €182.3 million, operations in more than 100 countries, and 67% of sales generated in international markets. The economic value generated reached €188 million, of which €156 million was distributed to stakeholders — including employees, suppliers, partners, local communities, and territories — highlighting the Group’s ability to create and redistribute value throughout the entire value chain.

“For Pettenon Cosmetics, celebrating 80 years is a responsibility before it is a milestone,” said Luigi Ambrosini, Chief Executive Officer of Pettenon Cosmetics. “Our history provides us with a solid industrial foundation; today, our responsibility is to strengthen it to support a new phase of international growth. This means working with discipline on the key drivers of competitiveness: process quality, supply chain management, product innovation, impact measurement, and the ability to generate long-term value. The Sustainability Report enables us to view these elements as part of a single, integrated business model.”

In terms of the energy transition, 2025 marked a significant step forward. Pettenon Cosmetics extended its carbon neutrality (Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions) to all three Group production sites, offsetting 408.6 tonnes of residual CO₂ emissions. In San Martino di Lupari, the new HELIOS photovoltaic plant — featuring 1,896 panels across more than 3,700 square metres and inaugurated in 2025 — generates approximately 1 million kWh per year, covering 30% of the site’s energy requirements. The remainder of the Group’s electricity consumption is sourced from 100% renewable energy.

The Group also continued to improve efficiency in the use of water and materials. In 2025, water consumption at the San Martino di Lupari site decreased by 30% compared to 2023, thanks to cooling water recovery systems and process optimisation. At the same site, more than 99% of waste was diverted from landfill and recovered. In packaging, the Group avoided the use of 273 tonnes of virgin plastic, increasing the share of recycled material to 15% overall and 25% across proprietary brands. Furthermore, 88.4% of purchased raw materials achieved a natural origin index above 0.5 according to ISO 16128, up from 75% in 2024.

Environmental initiatives supporting local communities and ecosystems also continued to expand. Through its partnership with Ogyre, Pettenon Cosmetics has already contributed to the recovery of more than 44,000 kg of marine and coastal plastic waste as part of a two-year programme targeting 88,000 kg. Through collaborations with ClimatePartner and 4Tree, the Group supported the planting of 1,382 trees on the Asiago Plateau in areas affected by Storm Vaia.

People remain at the heart of the Group’s business model. In 2025, Pettenon Cosmetics employed 616 people, with women representing 55% of the workforce and 53% of managerial-level positions. The company achieved UNI/PdR 125 Gender Equality Certification and delivered 9,778 hours of training. During the year, it allocated €428,000 to social and community initiatives, continuing its partnerships with Fondazione Umberto Veronesi to support cancer research and with Progetto Quid to promote the employment inclusion of people facing vulnerability. The Group also renewed its commitment to the United Nations Global Compact and the Women’s Empowerment Principles, further embedding these values into its corporate culture.

The 2025 Sustainability Report confirms a path of measurable and responsible growth. In the coming years, the Group will focus its efforts on a structured decarbonisation strategy, the mapping of Scope 3 emissions, and the strengthening of ESG management across the entire value chain.

For Pettenon Cosmetics, sustainability increasingly means the ability to integrate industrial competitiveness, innovation, process excellence, and long-term value creation into a single, coherent business vision.
